The Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo has sent condolences to the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Thandi Modise following the loss of two SANDF soldiers under the SADC Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (SAMIDRC) in the Eastern DRC.
The Minister also sends heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, and the entire SANDF as well as the Government of the Republic of South Africa for this reprehensible loss. The Vice Prime Minister said, “I assure you that the Government of the Republic of Congo will spare no effort for the security of all SADC forces deployed in the east of our country”.
