Kalashnikov Concern has recently made considerable progress in the development of unmanned aerial systems by highlighting the inaugural flight of the KUB-10E, an advanced model within the KUB family of guided munitions (GMs). This unveiling marks an important milestone in the company’s efforts to enhance precision strike capabilities.

The KUB-10E is meticulously designed to engage a wide range of enemy assets, targeting not only light vehicles and armoured personnel carriers but also strategic installations such as command posts and air defence systems. Additionally, it is equipped to neutralize communications surveillance and electronic jamming sites, as well as vital logistics infrastructure. The munition effectively addresses threats posed by combat and logistics units, field storage depots for critical supplies including ammunition, fuel, and lubricants, drone launch sites, and unsheltered aircraft, specifically helicopters, at airfields.

One of the most notable features of this system is its versatility in operational conditions. The KUB-10E can be deployed effectively at any time of day, highlighting resilience against various weather challenges, including wind gusts of up to fifteen meters per second. Furthermore, it operates efficiently in a wide temperature spectrum, ranging from -30 to +40 degrees Celsius at ground level, making it suitable for diverse combat environments.

Technologically, the new guided munition surpasses its predecessors in terms of both operational range and power. Utilizing a sophisticated guidance system, the KUB-10E relies on pre-specified geographic coordinates integrated with real-time data acquired from the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), ensuring precision targeting. The drone is launched via a robust catapult mechanism, allowing it to achieve a cruising flight speed of 100 km/h. Its operational altitude can be adjusted between 100 and 2,500 meters, enabling it to adapt to various tactical scenarios.

The KUB-guided munition has demonstrated exceptional effectiveness in real-world applications, particularly within the context of the ongoing Special Military Operation (SMO). Positive feedback from military personnel underscores its impactful performance on the battlefield. In a testament to its growing significance, Kalashnikov Concern has increased its production capabilities, tripling output in the current fiscal year. The KUB range now features a variety of guided munition variants, enhancing operational flexibility and ensuring that military forces are equipped with innovative technology for modern warfare.
