Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace giant, and the Brazilian Air Force have joined hands to conduct collaborative studies focused on identifying potential platform adaptations for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The announcement of this joint study was made at the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE) held in Santiago, Chile.

The study aims to investigate the adaptability of Embraer's operational platforms, including the C-390 Millennium, for ISR missions, and to explore the evolution of technologies and future challenges. The Brazilian Air Force is constantly monitoring its ability to fulfil its missions completely and efficiently within the current context, while also preparing for future challenges. This joint study is an expected way to maximize commonality and technological autonomy, reinforce the Air Force's ISR missions' effectiveness and efficiency, and expand the solutions portfolio to meet the evolving operational needs of potential international customers.

Lieutenant-Brigadier Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, Commander of the Brazilian Air Force, emphasized that studying the adherence and adaptability of Embraer platforms to the future challenges of these missions is essential to meet the operational needs of the Air Force's ISR missions and potential international customers. He also highlighted that the Brazilian Air Force is always looking ahead and considering the evolution of technologies to stay ahead of the curve.

Bosco da Costa Junior, President, and CEO of Embraer Defence & Security, said that Embraer has a successful track record in adapting its platforms for different objectives and that the joint study with the Brazilian Air Force would allow the expansion of the solutions portfolio to meet the evolving operational needs. He also emphasized that this collaborative effort is another crucial step in the long-term relationship between Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force.

Overall, this joint study promises to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Brazilian Air Force's ISR missions, making it better equipped to meet future challenges with cutting-edge technology.
