BAE Systems and PragoData a.s., a Czech systems integrator and consulting firm, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering Integrated Product Support (IPS) capabilities to the Czech defence sector. This collaboration has the potential to significantly enhance the sector’s capacity to maintain critical assets, such as armoured vehicles, in a state of operational readiness.
Initially, BAE Systems will supply PragoData with its products and services designed to support effective asset management. Over the longer term, both organisations will explore opportunities to integrate their expertise and capabilities, thereby assisting entities in the Czech Republic in modernising, supporting, and optimising the military value of complex defence assets.
BAE Systems brings decades of experience in asset management, with PropheSEA™, its data and systems integration software, serving as a cornerstone of its offerings. Already in use by the United Kingdom Royal Navy and NATO allies, PropheSEA™ provides IPS throughout an asset's entire lifecycle, equipping organisations with the insights necessary for informed decision-making. These capabilities are further enhanced by Eurostep, a division of BAE Systems noted for its expertise in data standards and information exchange. Eurostep's ShareAspace collaboration software, employed by NATO defence organisations and industry leaders, constitutes a vital component of PropheSEA™.
"In today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape, ensuring that assets are available, reliable, and prepared is of utmost importance. BAE Systems possesses a wealth of expertise and proven solutions in the IPS domain. Through collaboration with PragoData, we are pleased to extend this support to our Czech allies. Together, we endeavour to realise our shared vision of delivering effective asset support structures, underpinned by personnel, processes, and technology," stated Campbell Harte, Head of Business Development and Sales at Eurostep.
As a long-standing partner of the Czech armed forces, PragoData offers consulting services and specialised software, including product lifecycle management systems, to the country’s defence sector. Its acquisition of CALS Systems has provided PragoData with unique management consulting capabilities in ASD S-Series specifications, which are essential for defence logistics.
"Through collaboration with BAE Systems, PragoData aims to enhance its competencies in digital defence and security solutions, which are increasingly vital in light of significant geopolitical challenges. As a leader in defence digitalisation, interoperability, and long-term technical support, BAE Systems will enable us to deliver next-generation technology to customers across the Czech defence sector," remarked Lubomír Toman, Chief Sales Officer at PragoData.
In the future, BAE Systems and PragoData will seek to establish a comprehensive framework for asset support, availability, and planning within Czech defence organisations over the next decade.
